Welcome and thank you for your interest in joining Altona Life Saving Club.
New membership applications can be submitted any time from 1st September each year in preparation for the commencement of the new season in November. Applications lodged prior to this date will not be processed until September.
Below, you will find instructions on how to submit a membership applications. Please read each point carefully and submit your application once you are able to satisfy each step (particularly important with the Working With Children Check.)

2018/19 Membership Application Checklist
STEP 1: WORKING WITH CHILDREN CHECK
Every member over 18 years old MUST have a current Working With Children Check issued by the Victorian Department of Justice. Your membership cannot be finalised until this is completed.
Altona Life Saving Club MUST be listed as a related organisation
Submit copies of your WWCC documentation to firstname.lastname@example.org

STEP 2: REGISTER / RENEW YOUR MEMBERSHIP THROUGH SLSA
Go to https://sls.com.au/join/ to register or renew
For new family registrations, you must register each eligible member for the current season, then create a family group including each registered family member
STEP 3: PAY MEMBERSHIP FEES
Pay the required membership fees in one of two easy ways:
1. Pay securely through Surf Life Saving Australia’s online portal at: https://sls.com/com.au/portal/
2. Pay directly to Altona Life Saving Club via Electronic Funds Transfer (EFT):

STEP 4: UNIFORM
Ensure you have the minimum uniform requirements (ALSC scull cap, long sleeved rash vest, pink high visibility swim singlet.) If you need to buy these, check out our online store at: https://goo.gl/i9QQQq
STEP 5: DOWNLOAD TEAMAPP
Download and register for TeamApp for up to the minute information during the season. TeamApp is available in the App Store or on Google Play. Go to: www.teamapp.com for more info or https://goo.gl/J8Y4Xs for detailed instructions on how to get started.
STEP 6: COMPLETE THE 2018/19 VOLUNTEER QUESTIONNAIRE
ALSC is an entirely volunteer organisation and we need your help. To help us better understand if and how people are prepared to assist with the running of the club across the core activities of patrols and the Nippers program, we ask that all members complete our volunteer questionnaire.

STEP 7: PROFICIENCY SWIM
Every Nipper from Under 8 to Under 13 is required to have a Swim Proficiency Declaration signed off before participating in the Nippers program. These swims will be conducted at the Victoria University Aquatic Centre on Saturday 21st of October.
You will need to RSVP to this session via TeamApp.
